Please Note

The Housing Authority has noticed that there is a large amount of household furniture, old appliances and debris being stored in front and behind the apartments.  A member of the Housing Authority staff will be inspecting the outside of all apartments.  If items are found from the list below, the resident will be given a warning notice to have items removed within 24 hours.  If items are not removed within that time period the maintenance department will remove the items and the resident will be charged $50.00 for its removal.

ITEMS NOT ALLOWED TO BE ON THE FRONT PORCH

  1. Indoor furniture (ex: indoor chairs, couch, tables)
  2. Grills
  3. Toys
  4. Trash cans

THE ONLY ITEMS ALLOWED ON THE FRONT PORCH ARE OUTDOOR FURNITURE

ITEMS NOT ALLOWED TO BE STORED BEHIND APARTMENTS

  1. Old appliances (washing machines, dryer, ranges, microwaves, etc.)
  2. Old mattresses and bed frames
  3. Household furniture (tables, chairs, dressers, etc.)
  4. Broken toys
  5. Rusted or broken grills
  6. Lumber or building materials
  7. All aluminum cans must be stored in a container that has a tight fitting lid.
  8. Old flower pots
  9. Old car tires, batteries, or parts

Any of the above items that the residents want to dispose of must be placed on the curb so that the maintenance staff can pick then up.  Macon County residents, items will be picked up on Mondays.  Taylor County residents, items will be picked up on Tuesdays.
