Maintenance

The Flint Area Housing Authority maintains and renovates apartments with the help of a dedicated group of technicians.  From fixing the air conditioner to making sure the front door closes tight, our maintenance department can do it all.

All apartments are subject to various yearly inspections to help us keep the units in the best shape possible.  Notices are mailed to residents explaining when and why the inspection is going to occur.

If you are a resident and are experiencing a problem with your apartment, please contact the maintenance department during normal hours (478-472-8209 ext. 403), or fill out the Work Order form on this page, so that we can get someone out to help.  Work orders are categorized by need and dealt with in the order they are received.

Emergency work orders address an immediate threat to life, health and safety of the resident, the property, or are related to fire safety.  Examples include, but are not limited to, an unhealthy or undrinkable water supply, gas leak, broken/blocked sanitary sewer line, failed heating system, hazardous electrical system, inoperable smoke detector and exposure to toxic materials.

Please remember that residents are responsible for damage and abnormal wear and tear to the unit.
